What if I need a visa to come to the conference?
Please send us an e-mail and we will help you with an invitation letter.
How do I get to the conference?
If you plan to fly, you should arrive at Tegel. If you take the express bus (TXL) direct from the terminal, it only costs a few Euros and it takes just as long as a taxi. The express bus comes rather frequently and the folks at the information booth can inform you when the next one is leaving and give you directions. If you take the bus, you should get off at the corner of Friedrichstrasse and Unter den Linden and the bus driver can tell you when you are there. Then it’s a five minute walk to the hotel. The express bus only makes a few stops, but if you find yourself at Alexanderplatz you have gone too far. A taxi will cost 20 to 25 euros and also takes about 30 minutes from Tegel.
I am a presenter. Are we meeting?
The speakers are invited to a meeting and reception at 18.00 on Monday, 9 June at the Checkpoint bar in the Hotel Maritim proArte. This brief meeting will be a chance to meet other speakers and presenters in the program, to transfer a copy of your presentation to the organizers, and to be made aware how much the staff of Localization World appreciates your efforts.
What are the details on the opening reception?
The opening night reception (19.30-21.30, Monday, 9 June) is open to all attendees. This will be at the Kalkscheune, .8 km from the hotel. This is a reception only, light food will be served, but it is not a dinner. Directions and a map are available on our site.
  What are the conference hours?
On Monday, the preconference day, the conference registration opens at 8.00 with sessions beginning at 9.00.
On Tuesday, day one of the conference, registration opens at 7.30 and the opening is at 8.30.
On Wednesday, the first session begins at 9.00. Thursday's sessions will end at approximately 17.30.
Where do I pick up my conference badge?
You may pick up your badge and conference materials at the conference registration desk at the Hotel Maritim proArte. If you are in town on Monday but have not registered for the preconference sessions, you are welcome to come by the conference desk and pick up your materials.
There really are prizes at the conference?
GALA will give prizes at the end of the main conference. To be eligible to win, you must enter your name at participating exhibition booths and be present at the prize session.
What are the details on the dinner?
The dinner on Tuesday will be a relaxed affair at an outside garden. More details are available online. Please dress casually and enjoy the evening!
What food will be provided at the conference?

On Tuesday and Wednesday, lunch will be provided for all attendees.. There will be light snacks during some of the breaks of the conference. The opening reception will have some appetizers, but it is not intended as a dinner. The dinner Tuesday night will be a full meal.
Can I have copies of the presentations?
