Localization World Bonn: 31 May - 2 June, 2005

Building on the success of three previous conferences Localization World returns to Bonn, Germany for the spring 2005 conference: 31 May - 2 June, 2005. Registrants have signed up from an impressive list of client and vendor companies coming from all over the world.

Like all Localization World conferences, the program will cover a wide range of issues in the world of translation and localization, but will also follow the theme of the conference in focusing on a set of key topics. Localization World Bonn 2005 will have a special focus on the following topics, sectors and locale:

  • Marketing Communications
  • Public Sector
  • Medical
  • European Union

Two evening social gatherings are planned to maximize both enjoyment and the opportunity to meet fellow professionals.

The Bonn Localization Group, BOLO, has provided an informative brochure about activities in Bonn.

The conference will close with a drawing for special prizes from GALA exhibitors. (You may enter the drawings at the exhibition booths of these companies.)

Who should attend:

Conference sessions are geared towards professionals seeking to learn about new tools, methods and business practices in the areas of localization and internationalization. Networking and mutual problem discussion opportunities will abound at the social gatherings, meals and break periods. Exhibitors will be present to provide information about their products and services to all levels of attendees. Here is valuable information for your management that shows why you should attend the conference.

Reservations for exhibit space are now being taken. Download an Exhibit Registration Form.

Why attend:
  • Content. The Localization World program follows the precedent set in San Francisco in 2004, offering a variety of high-caliber presentations and panel discussions strong on content and short on sales pitches. Organized by a strong advisory board, the program promises to be a worthwhile assortment of sessions with valuable takeaways for the attendees.
  • Networking. Localization World is scheduled to give plenty of opportunities to gather with fellow professionals, whether it be at the exhibit area, between sessions, or at a social gathering.
  • Pricing. The conference is reasonably priced, with discounts for early registration, options for one-day attendance, and affordable accommodations.
  • Location. The conference is held at the Beethovenhalle on the Rhein River in downtown Bonn.

What people have said about previous conferences:

"LW Bonn exceeded all my expectations; the profile of the attendance was perfect as 80% seemed to be decision-makers; the exhibition was a tremendous financial success for us; the sessions were so leading-edge, and the networking and bonhomie so fluid – and that’s not to mention the social events! A tribute to all whose names lie behind this." — Joseph P. Deignan, Director, EMEA at Alchemy Software Development

"The Localization World conference in San Francisco was both fun and informative. In just two days the core challenges and changes of localization were discussed at length." — Joe Didamo, VP Global Business Development, Moravia Worldwide

"Localization World has become the reference event for the translation and localization industry. The unique structure of the event guarantees value for every attendee, and the careful selection of speakers balances innovation with education. A must for the experienced professional and the newcomer to the industry." — Renato Beninatto, Partner, Common Sense Advisory
