Localization World Bonn
Networking
service
Meet the
right people. Find out what they know. Localization World offers a unique
structured Networking Service that maximizes the value participants will
get out of the conference in return for the time and expenses they invest.
What
it is. How it works.
The Localization
World Networking Service is a Web-based service where attendees to Localization
World conferences can plan their networking at the conference rather than
just leaving it to the coincidental chats during coffee breaks and luncheons.
They can schedule meetings with new "unknown" contacts based
on a selection of points of interest and lists of names, and they can
schedule meetings with known contacts. The Networking Service is exclusively
available to registered attendees.
When the service is activated, conference attendees will receive an
e-mail from Localization World with a special access key to register in the Networking
Service. This is a separate secured area on the Localization World Web
site. In this Networking Service site attendees can view the list of attendees
(only company and person names) and separately a collective list of all
the points of interest.
Examples of points of interest are:
- I am interested in talking to real users of GMS applications.
- I am in search of a software localization tool for medical software.
- I need a specialist Japanese localization resource for a financial application.
- I am a specialist vendor in mathematical software localization looking for customers.
- I need a machine translation solution for customer support in German.
Features
of the Localization World Networking Service
The Localization
World Networking Service provides the following features:
- View
list of registered attendees (only company names and person names). Clicking on
a name will display points of interest that the registrant to the conference
has submitted. The viewer can then send a request directly from the
conference Web site to meet this person. The requester must add a motivation
for his or her meeting request. Localization World will issue an e-mail
to the other registrant. The receiver of the meeting request can now
review the request and the motivation for the meeting and simply click
on an "Accept" or "Decline" button. Only after the
receiver of the request clicks on "Accept" will Localization
World establish direct contact between the requestor and receiver by
issuing an e-mail to both with a suggestion for a meeting point at the
conference, plus a suggestion that they will exchange direct e-mails
to make their meeting arrangements.
- View
list of points of interest. Clicking on a specific point of interest displays the name(s)
of the attendee(s) who has (have) submitted this point of interest. If the attendee who submitted the interest wish, the name will not be shown.
From here the viewer can follow exactly the same steps as above
submit a request for a meeting, add motivation and so on.
- Schedule
"Point-of-Common-Interest Sessions." Localization World will
automatically track the points of interests being raised by registrants
and sort them on key words. In this way "Points-of-Common-Interest"
are identified. Localization World may schedule special Networking sessions
at the conference for these identified "Points-of-Common-Interest."
Benefits
of the Networking Service
The benefits of the Localization World Networking Service are the following:
- Targeted
networking.
For most conference attendees networking is as important if not
more important than the content of the conference. But often
people do not get to talk to exactly the right people. Networking is
often limited to the occasional chat during coffee breaks and luncheons.
This unique Networking Service allows them to plan conference breaks
and make sure that they can compare notes with the people they like
to see.
- Filter
unsolicited selling.
Many customers in the localization industry feel overwhelmed by solution
providers at conferences. This Networking Service will help to filter
out unsolicited selling during the conference. Vendors are offered the
opportunity to establish contact beforehand. The customer is free to
accept or decline this request.
- Establish
peer groups. Listing and categorizing common points of interest
helps attendees to the conferences to have fruitful discussions and
exchanges of experiences in focused sessions.
- Maximize
value from conference. Attendees to the conference will take more
out of the conference than just the programmed content.
