Is there anything I need at Canadian immigration?
Conference attendees should present this letter at Canadian customs as proof of conference.

How do I get to the Omni Hotel?
Lionbridge is providing shuttle service free of charge. Here are the details:
From the Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport to the Omni Hotel: Hosts will greet attendees as they pick up their luggage at baggage claim. They will hold Localization World signs. Four shuttles will run on October 16 (Monday) from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm, approximately every 15 minutes. One is handicap-accessible. Look for this sign on the bus:

To the the Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport:
Two larger buses will pick up at the Omnit hotel on October 18 (Wednesday) at 5:30 pm.

I am a presenter. Are we meeting?
The speakers are meeting for a reception on Monday, October 16 at 5:30 pm at the Été room of the Omni Hotel. This will be a chance to meet other speakers and presenters in the program, to transfer a copy of your presentation to the organizers, and to be made aware how much the staff of Localization World appreciates your efforts. The meeting part of the gathering will last less than one-half hour. The reception will end at approxiamately 6:30 pm.

What are the details on the opening reception?

The opening night reception is at Altitude 737, 7:30pm-9:00pm. All registrants for the conference are welcome to attend. The club is near the Hotel Omni.
Walking directions from the Omni Mont-Royal: The Omni Hotel is on Sherbrooke Avenue. Turn right upon leaving the main doors of the Omni and walk down to the corner of University. Turn right on University. On the corner of University and Rene-Levesque is Altitude 737, located at the Place Ville Marie. Upon entering the building through the doors on University St., a staff member will direct you to Altitude 737. It is about a 10-minute walk.


What are the conference hours?
On Tuesday, the conference registration opens at 7:30 am. The opening session is at 8:30 am!
On Wednesday, the first session begins at 9:00 am.
Both days' sessions will end at approximately 5:00 pm.

Where do I pick up my conference badge?
You may pick up your badge and conference materials at the conference registration desk:
Monday: on the first floor of the Omni Hotel
Tuesday, Wednesday: on Level 1 of the Centry Mont Royal.
We encourage you to pick up your badge before the time you need it. If you are in town on Monday, please come on by and pick up your materials. It would give you a chance to review the program before the conference.

Can I access the web at the conference?
You will have wireless access to the web at the Centre Mont-Royal in the exhibit area. Also in the exhibit area, there will be an internet station with computers, a printer, and extra ethernet connectors.

There really are prizes at the conference?
GALA will give prizes at the end of both days of the main conference. To be eligible to win, you must enter your name at participating exhibition booths and be present at the prize session.

What are the details on the dinner?
The dinner at Sucrerie de la Montagne Tuesday night is a step back in time to an old Quebec sugar shack. Please dress comfortably and casually! Buses will begin leaving the Hotel Omni at 5:30 pm.

What food will be provided at the conference?
Lunch will be provided Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. There will be light snacks during some of the breaks of the conference. The opening reception will have some appetizers, but it is not intended as a dinner. The dinner Tuesday night will be a full meal.

I am leaving Wednesday evening. How can I handle my luggage?
You may bring your luggage to the Centre Mont-Royal. We will store it for you until it is time for you to leave. Lionbridge is providing two shuttles from the Centre Mont-Royal to the airport on Wednesday, October 18 at 5:30pm.

What is the Localization World Network?
The Localization World Network is a way for you to connect with people in the industry who have the same interests as you. There is no charge for membership.

Can I have copies of the presentations?
