After a focus on localization business models in 2008, Localization World is casting a wider net in 2009 with a theme of Know-how for Global Success. In recognition of the fact that localization is not an end to itself, but just one critical step in a company’s progression from domestic to global enterprise, we are looking for presentations that will provide expertise and experiences from the whole spectrum of that challenging, fascinating journey.
In light of that, we are offering four distinct tracks:
• Global Business Best Practices
• Localization Core Competencies
• Advanced Localization Management
• Managing Global Websites
The business and processes of localization will continue to be the major focus of Localization World. We expect that the addition of tracks on global business practices and the management of multilingual websites will provide much needed information and will make Localization World appealing to a larger and more diversified audience.
The theme is not meant to restrict the content of the conference. We encourage presenters to submit proposals that fit with the general taxonomy of the Localization World conferences.
